Aboriginal Child Welfare Hearings Wrapping Up

Closing arguments in the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal on child welfare are happening this week.
It stems from a joint human rights complaint from the Assembly of First Nations and The First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada.
They allege the federal government has provided a flawed and inequitable provision of aboriginal child and family services.
The Ontario Regional Chiefs are asking local residents to show support by rallying and performing sacred fire ceremonies.
The hearing wraps up on Friday.
