A new report shows education and employment are key challenges for First Nations people living in Northwestern Ontario.
The Ontario Trillium Foundation compiled the report and Spokesperson Alexis Mantell says they used the latest census information from Statistics Canada.
Mantell says they will use the information to deliver funding for area first nation related programs and initiatives.
The document indicates one out of five people in Northwestern Ontario are Aboriginal.
The report also shows that the younger generations are better educated than their parents, but most have not completed school.
