A 15-year-old Wunnumin Lake First Nation man has received an award for his writing skills.
Mavis Oskineegish was handed one of six James Bartleman Aboriginal Youth Creative Writing Awards.
More then 300-young writers submitted stories and poems.
Wunnumin Lake is located northeast of Pickle Lake.
