The low forest fire hazard across Northwestern Ontario has allowed the Ministry of Natural Resources to send additional resources to British Columbia.
Another 230-firefighters and support staff will fly out of Dryden and Sudbury Saturday for the West Coast.
It’s the fourth deployment this month and brings to 570 the number of MNR personnel helping fire-ravaged B.C.
It’s also the most fire support the MNR has ever provided to that province.
