Friday is a National Circle of Ceremony and Healing for Our Spirits Day.
The Assembly of First Nations is urging everyone to come together in ceremony for a moment of healing.
National Chief Perry Bellegarde says some of their people are struggling and they want to bring messages and prayers of hope and resiliency.
He says it’s important to inspire our youth to embrace life and to tell them they are important and they are loved.
Bellegarde stresses prayer and ceremony are an important part of the path to healing.
