Eastern Manitoba’s Falcon Lake Winter Fish-Off is back for its 14th year.
There are still openings for the Saturday event.
Tournament Director Ian Young says they could be giving away close to $100,000 if people are able to catch some fish.
Young says catching the big fish will net you bragging rights and $10,000.
There will be more than $40,000 in guaranteed cash and prizes, as well as a $50,000 hidden weight prize.
Young says the derby is also a fundraiser for a program that supports kids with developmental disabilities.
He is hoping to surpass last years fundraising result of more than $12,000.
