Ear Falls and Red Lake Councils have agreed to use an idle recycling account to help fund after school transportation for Ear Falls students going to Red Lake High.
Town Clerk-Treasurer Geoff McClain says it amounts to $1,000 which should extend its life until December.
The initiative has been shaky ground for some time because of a lack of funds.
The service costs $15,000 a year, $3,000 of which is covered by Ear Falls Council.
McClain says the push will be on in the Summer to find businesses and community members interested in supporting the initiative.
