After School Funding For Eagle Lake

Three smaller schools in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding will be getting some funding from the provincial government.

Migisi Sahgaigan School in Eagle Lake First Nation is receiving $32,000 for after school programming.

The Dalles First Nation north of Kenora is getting $30,000, the Town of Rainy River is welcoming $24,000 for similar programs.

MPP Greg Rickford says these programs help keep kids active, healthy and ready to learn.

The money is part of the province’s funding for high-needs neighbourhoods across the province.
