The MP for Kenora is hoping the federal government makes broadband expansion a priority in the new session of Parliament.
Eric Melillo says there has been no mention of rural connectivity in northern Ontario since the minority Liberals took over.
“A lack of reliable high speed Internet hinders the ability of rural Canadians to access information, receive services and compete in the Canadian economy.”
The Conservative member says enhanced broadband is a necessity in order for students, workers and business owners to participate equally in society.
