Airport Plan

A company entrusted with creating an infrastructure plan for the Dryden Regional Airport is suggesting the City scrap its cross wind runway.

The gravel runway was only used six times during 2007.

Prairie Edge Management Spokesperson Warren Thompson says that stretch of land could be used to make more room for the Ministry of Natural Resources and other tourism opportunities.

Thompson also suggests realigning Ghost Lake Road which would open up land to create a light industrial park.

Council will hear another update on the infrastructure and air service development plan in May.
