Fire Department kept busy

It was a busy weekend for the Dryden Fire Service, not only did the municipal firefighters celebrate their 100th anniversary, many other unplanned incidents occurred.

The local department was called out to the Dryden Yacht Club on Saturday afternoon, after a snow machine went through the ice.

The lone snow machine rider managed to get out onto the ice and onto the shoreline.

On early Monday morning, fire staff were dispatched to a Carbon Monoxide alarm at a Lakeview Road home.

After investigation it was determined that the detector sensor was dirty and it was a false alarm.

A working smoke alarm was installed and charges are pending against the homeowners for failure to have a working alarm in the building.
