Consulting firm Prairie Edge Management has started the
Industrial-Commercial Development Strategy for the Dryden Regional Airport.
The study will examine potential opportunities for the facility for
the next 20-years.
Project Manager Warren Thompson says the Airport has terrific
infrastructure in place and is a real jewel for Dryden.
Thompson says the comprehensive study will examine commercial, passenger and industry opportunities.
He says they will look at passenger and charter service opportunities but believes cargo is the way to go.
Thompson says the potential for flight training is also high.
Thompson says they will be working with all Airport stakeholders and
will hold community consultations.
A final report will be presented to Council in July.
