An Alberta man has been fined $2,000 for operating an illegal gravel pit north of Dryden.
Mark Northcott of Langdon pleaded guilty for running the pit on Crown land without permission.
Court has ordered him to restore the area to its original condition.
The man was caught last September at his nearby Amesdale Lake property.
