Prime Minister Stephen Harper says the latest death of an RCMP officer in Canada ‘is a grim reminder of how law officers put their lives on the line every day.’
Constable David Wynn passed away in an Edmonton hospital this morning.
The 42 year-old was shot at close range during an altercation over the weekend at a casino in St. Albert.
Funeral arrangements are not known, there will be a regimental service in Edmonton.
Auxiliary Constable Derek Bond is recovering, he was shot in the arm and torso during the same incident.
