English River Miners forward Alex Maticic has been named SIJHL Player of the Week.
The 17-year-old had a breakout weekend against Thunder Bay, scoring seven times.
He also added four assists.
Through eight games, he has recorded points in seven of them and currently sits second in league scoring with 15-points.
Blake Berg of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs also received consideration.
