Green Party Leader Makes Stop In Northwestern Ontario

The leader of Ontario’s Green party says he would stand in the way of having nuclear waste being stored in northern Ontario.

Mike Schreiner says they need federal and provincial cooperation to ensure radioactive nuclear waste doesn’t make it here.

He’s also calling on both levels of government to work together on a national energy strategy.

Schreiner made the comments during a stop in Thunder Bay.
