Alice Richardson

Alice Richardson was born December 10, 1932 to Ole and Gertrude Olsen in Kenora, Ontario. She was raised in Vermilion Bay and spent the rest of her life there with her husband Ted and their five children.

She worked at the Coop until she retired. Family and friends meant so much to her. Alice enjoyed traveling to visit her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, where she would attend any special occasion or events that were held. She was active in her community with seniors and in her church, she was always available to help anyone.

Her other pastimes were her special luncheons with her dear girlfriends. She is predeceased by her husband Ted in 2005. She is survived by her five children: Barry (Deb) of Prince George, BC, Brian (Pat) of Edmonton, AB, Diane (Ed) Parkville, BC, Donna (Terry) of Prince George, BC, David of Prince George, BC, 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, and her brothers Arnold of Kenora, Larry (Rosalie) and sister Florence of Dryden.

There will be no Visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday April 14th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the United Church in Vermilion Bay, with Alice Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Vermilion Bay United Church through the Dryden Community Funeral Home 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON P8N 2X3
