Plans to develop an All-Nations hospital in Kenora are in a holding pattern.
That’s because the provincial government is reviewing all program spending.
Wendy Cuthbert is the Chair of the hospital board and hopes they will eventually be able to proceed with the project.
“It is frustrating, but it is part of the process. Anytime you have a new government they have to review things and that’s what they’re doing. They have their agenda and the promises they made so we just have to be patient and hope that our project will move forward,” she says.
In the meantime, Cuthbert says they continue to be involved with the All-Nations Health Partners Committee working on other critical health care issues like physician and health professional recruitment.
