The Dryden Eagles will need a pair of wins and some help tomorrow to advance to the playoff round at the All-Ontario Girls Volleyball Championship in Thunder Bay.
The Eagles were 0-2 on the first day of competition today.
Dryden lost their first match in straight sets 25-11, 25-14 but rebounded in the afternoon with a strong effort against 6th ranked St. Thomas Aquinas.
The Eagles rallied late in the first set but dropped a 25-19 decision.
A strong start to the second wasn’t enough in a 25-14 loss.
The Eagles end the round-robin tomorrow morning with games at 8:30 and 11:30.
