All Weather Road in Northwest

Travel in and out of Slate Falls First Nation (140km northeast of Sioux Lookout) will soon become much easier.
Both levels of government have joined McKenzie Forest Products in the creation of a $8.7 million all-weather road to the community.
Chief George Bunting says the announcement is a long time coming.
Bunting hopes to begin construction this spring with a completion date pegged for the end of March 2005.
