Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Don Rusnak is feeling the heat over comments he made at a recent committee hearing in Ottawa.
The Nishnawbe Aski Nation felt he was down playing the suicide health emergency that they have declared.
However, Rusnak says his words were twisted around and he takes suicide emergencies seriously.
The Liberal representative suggests that everything you say at such a hearing needs to be explained to those who don’t understand committee work.
Rusnak says he was surprised by the controversy created over the issue.
