Ontario could become a global leader in value added wood products according to a report from the Living Legacy Trust.
The 110 page document was released yesterday in Dryden and Author Peter Woodbridge says this region has to take an aggressive and creative approach to promote growth.
Woodbridge says the private sector has to pay more attention to value added products, since the Americans have hinted with tariffs that they don’t want anymore of our lumber volume.
He adds the Americans want to steer towards the valued material, which could increase sales revenue by over $2 billion.
