Dire Warning From Dryden Power Toboggan Club

Dryden is often considered the hub of snowmobiling in Sunset Country, however that may soon come to an end.

The Dryden Power Toboggan Club is warning that if more people don’t pay for trail passes, there could be no groomed system next year.

Vice-President Pat Oliphant says tourism will suffer as a result if that happens.

The Club sold 340 passes this year but there are some 2,500 sleds registered in the area.

Oliphant says the trails are becoming chewed up and safety has become a major concern.

Dryden Police have been asked to step up enforcement and have as of late in recent weeks.
