The Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River wants to bring together family members, health care providers, caregivers and others in developing a plan addressing when a person with dementia goes missing.
Executive Director Lynn Moffatt says local suggestions will be incorporated into a more province-wide strategy.
Community sessions are being held across the region.
Moffatt says 3 out of 5 people with dementia will go missing at some point.
