‘Make Memories Matter’
It’s a new walk, at a new new location, with hopes of raising new hope.
Bryanna Booth was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday to announce an important fundraiser Saturday at Open Roads School starting at 9 o’clock.
The walk is to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Participants collect pledges and get to walk or run a two or five kilometre route.
Booth says over 1,070 people in the Kenora and Rainy-River districts are affected with dementia and notes their organization is only 45% funded by the government.
