Registrations for the “Amazing Race” in Sioux Lookout are being accepted until Friday afternoon.
The July 11th event is a fundraiser for the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre Foundation.
The money will support long term care beds as right now there’s a huge waiting list according to organizers.
Spokesperson Tracy Rowsell says if someone get’s injured and needs a hospital bed right now, it may be difficult as beds are filled with those needing long term care.
If you’re familiar with the hit reality TV show you know how it works, participants will race around Sioux Lookout collecting clues and competing with others to raise money.
The first team to arrive at the last leg of the race will win a $1,000 Fresh Market Food gift card.
Entry is $150 per team of two, plus a minimum $100 pledge per team member.
Registration includes a t-shirt, dinner and tickets to a social.
