The Dryden Eagle Senior Boys Basketball team stole the show at the
NORWOSSA Court Championships Thursday.
After a last second Semi-Final win, the Eagles battled the top ranked
Fort Frances Muskies to the bitter end, before losing 48-44.
Coach’s Mike Sveinson and Duncan Wilkenson said the playoff run was truely amazing and
the club showed true heart and determination.
Wilkenson went on to add the playoff performance was inspiring.
Ronnie St. Aubin netted 14 to lead Dryden in the final game.
The Dryden Eagle Juniors also earned Silver after dropping a 68-42
decision to Fort Frances in the Championship game.
Coach Lee Currie says they just ran out of gas after an emotional
Semi-Final win.
Currie says he was proud of the effort and the club’s hard work.
Jared MacKinnon scored 17 for Dryden.
