A hefty fine for two American anglers following a fishing trip on Lake of the Woods.
Daniel Ballard of Illinois and John Farrald of California have been ordered to pay $3,000 each for having 24-walleye over the legal possession limit.
Conservation officers conducted an inspection back in August and discovered the two men had 15-walleye in their possession.
Another check revealed that the men had another 17-walleye stored at their resort in Sioux Narrows that they caught the previous day.
Both anglers have been banned from fishing in Ontario for two years.
