The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce held it’s 14th Annual Business Excellence Awards Saturday night at Eagles Landing.
Evergreen Memories took the “KK Penner Tire Centre” award for Business of the Year 1 – 25 Employees. Owner Margot Woodworth also received the Investors Group Award for “Woman in Business.”
The “TD Canada Trust award” for Business of the Year 26+ employees went to Dryden GM.
Wilson’s Business Solutions “Business Volunteer of the Year” award was captured by Mary Helie for her work on the Dryden Centennial Committee. Helie also won the Mayor’s Award for Outstanding Service.
Jamie Gould from Gould’s Countrywide was a double winner, taking the CKDR Marketing Excellence Award as well as being named the McAuley and Partners “Owner Manager of the Year 1 – 25 Employees”
The Northern Lights Credit Union award for Home Based Business went to Norm Balla of Balla Brothers Rentals.
The Canada Safeway award for Employee of the Year in the Hospitality Sector was awarded to Caley Eschblach from Starbucks.
THe Egli’s Sheep Farm award for Employee of the Year, Retail Sector was won by Carol Makela from Egli’s Sheep Farm.
DMTS’s award for Employee of the Year in the Service Sector was won by Rob Button from Pharmasave.
Ron Ursel, manager at IGA Dryden took the RBC Royal Bank award for Owner/Manager of the Year 26+ Employees.
The Canadian Tire award for Business Supporting Tourism went to Egli’s Sheep Farm and Animal Park.
PACE’s “Outstanding New Business” award was won by Masala Restaurant.
The Alex Wilson Coldstgream “Business Training Excellence” award went o the Dana Soucie form the Dryden Development Corporation.
BMO Nesbitt Burns award for Business Improvement was won by Dryden Motel and Suites.
92.7 CKDR took home the DRHC Business Supporting Health Care award.
Rounding out the night, McAuley and Partners were recognized with the special “Business of Honor” award.
