A $1,500 fine for a Wisconsin man who was headed to northwestern Ontario for a fly-in fishing trip.
Court heard that Dennis Erickson was stopped at the Fort Frances border crossing back in June, 2017 and during an inspection officers found a cooler with two containers marked worms.
However, officers found one dozen live leeches in each container.
Erickson was fined for illegally bringing live leeches into Ontario for use of bait.
