Angus on Forestry Summit 2

A public forum to address forestry job losses in northern Ontario gave
people in Thunder Bay a turn to comment last night.
But there was little public participation in the event, hosted by the
Paperworkers and Steelworkers unions.
N-D-P M-P Charlie Angus told the forum the forestry crisis is the
direct result of inaction by elected officials and the softwood lumber deal.

n027 runs: 20 sec. out…our industries.

steelworkers officials stressed the future of local communities remains
in jeopardy, and says the province is failing to listen to proposals from
community leaders.
