A legal battle is brewing between the City of Dryden and the Northwestern Health Unit.
Upset with Council’s decision to hold a referendum on the
fluoride issue, the Health Unit has decided to move ahead with a court injunction.
Dental Consultant Dr. Peter Cooney says they are now seeking legal advise and have given the City until the end of August to provide a formal response.
Cooney says a referendum will cost taxpayers $15,000 on
top of legal fees for the Health Unit and City.
