The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will benefit from Tuesday’s provincial funding announcement.
A Government Spokesperson says this year the local board will see its total budget increase 2.9% from March figures.
The injection would push the Board’s total budget to roughly $68,540,750.
The McGuinty Liberals announced today a total of $309-million over 2 years for Ontario School Boards.
The money will go towards hiring vice-principals, support workers, secretaries and supply teachers,
Funding is also available for such areas as education assistants, primary teachers and school bus operations.
