The 62nd Annual Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association Conference
starts today in Thunder Bay.
NOMA President Anne Krassilowsky says this year’s theme is ‘Partners in
Motion’.
Krassilowsky notes the Northern Growth Plan will likely dominate discussions.
A number of Provincial and Federal Ministries are also expected to
participate in the 3-day conference.
Meantime, the City of Kenora has decided to skip the NOMA Conference.
The Northern Ontario Forestry Council is one of today’s presenters and
President Dave Canfield says he’s disappointed Kenora won’t be in
attendance.
The Dr. Bob Rosehart economic report will be a topic of conversation
today.
