Another Bid to Save Bus Service in Atikokan

Another desperate plea has been heard to try and reverse the
Rainy-River District School Board’s decision to sell the Atikokan school
bus.
Teacher Shane Fierty presented a 600-signature petition on behalf of
Atikokan residents at Tuesday night’s board meeting.
Fierty says they want the board to replace the 12-year-old school bus,
which is used for school trips and for travel to and from sporting events.
Board officials say they will consider contracting one out at the
school’s request.
