Premier Dalton McGuinty says he won’t try to influence voters when it
comes to electoral reform.
A citizens’ group, which includes Julia Craner of Wabigoon is
deliberating whether there’s a better system to elect politicians, and it’s
looking like a referendum question will also be on the ballot on election
day in October.
The citizens’ group is leaning toward a system called mixed member
proportional, which would have voters mark two ballots, one for a local
representative and one for a political party.
