Another Call for the Return of Spring Bear Hunt

A new study on the management of black bears is renewing calls to
reinstate the spring bear hunt.
The report states that the removal of the hunt has caused a
significant increase in human-bear conflicts.
Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Spokesperson Terry Quinney
says the bear population has exploded.
Quinney says the spring hunt allows hunters to remove the older
troublesome bears from the population.
