The Mayors Committee for Children and Youth has launched its annual Anti-Violence campaign with a number of groups involved.
Spokesperson Barb Buffett says the initiative targets a wide range of people and they want to ensure that no one lives in fear.
A number of activities are planned the next 36 days including workshops, an OPP Seminar on Internet safety as well as a Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence treatment program.
The campaign will end December 6th with a candle light vigil to mark the anniversary of the Montreal Massacre.
A calendar of events is available at City Hall, the Dryden Police Service or here at CKDR.
