Anticipation Growing In Red Lake Area

We are a couple of hours away in finding out if Balmertown’s Eric Radford and pairs partner Meagan Duhamel will be Olympic medallists.
The pairs team sits 5th after the short program in figure skating and the long free skate is scheduled to begin around 9:30.
Debra Geary coached Radford at the Balmertown Figure Skating Club.
Geary says Eric was always an athlete who dreamed of going to the Olympics.
She says words can’t describe what she’s feeling right now and stresses everyone who remembers him at a young age are fascinated at his accomplishments.
Geary started working with Radford at the age of 8 and coached him for 4 years before he went on to Kenora for additional training.
Geary is the Principal at the Golden Learning Centre and says the entire school will be glued to the TV today.
