The chief of a Thunder Bay area First Nation says an apology over the trampling of an aboriginal burial ground isn’t enough.
K-W-G spokesman Frank Smeenk says the company regrets a blunder apparently made by a contractor while conducting soil sampling.
But Marten Falls Chief Eli Moonias says an apology is not going to change the fact that they broke the law.
No remains were disturbed, but trees were cut down at the site.
Smeenk says company officials want to meet with Moonias to repair matters and insure against a repetition.
