Environment Canada says most communities across northwestern Ontario received more rain and snow than usual in April.
Sandy Radecki is a climatologist and says it was also a little bit chillier than normal last month.

Radecki says most communities saw almost twice the amount of precipitation as normal in April, due mainly to the 25-35 centimeters of snow that fell last weekend.
