Area Politicians React to Ignace Closure

Kenora MP Roger Valley and Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton say
the closure of the Ignace Sawmill can be blamed on the softwood lumber deal.
Valley says both levels of Government should have seen the shutdown coming.
Hampton says the Province should have never signed the agreement.
Hampton and Valley are also upset with Bowater’s decision to close the
mill right before christmas.
