A step backwards for Dryden in its bid to see an Aspenware wooden cutlery plant built in the City.
Mayor Craig Nuttall says they have been notified that the Company is putting the project on the back-burner to concentrate on starting up its facility in B.C. first.
Nuttall stresses they will be in constant talks with Aspenware officials and he hopes that the company can revisit the project in another year.
The B.C. based company announced in August 2009 that it planned to construct a 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the community
Economic Development Officer Vicki Kurz says the project is not dead and notes the Company intends to move into Ontario at some point.
