Atikokan Arena

The Town of Atikokan is looking to replace its arena.
Mayor Dennis Brown says a leak from the nearby swimming pool 4-years ago is believed to have caused damage to the Arena’s ice surface.
He doesn’t think spending half-a-million dollars to fix the problem makes good sense.
Brown says they’re looking at a facility that would include 800 seats, fitness center and walking track.
It would be attached to the existing pool facility and is estimated at 5 to 7-million dollars.
