Atikokan DARE Program

OPP are in the process of taking over Policing operations in
Atikokan which caused some concern among Public School Board officials.
The Town Police Force had offered the DARE program at Schools which
sparked some fear that the program would be lost in the changeover.
However, OPP Officials have assured the School Board that the
initiative will continue in Atikokan.
They add the Drug Awareness Education program has become a valuable
tool for all students in the region.
