Atikokan Plant Escapes Major Damage

Ontario Power Generation says the Atikokan Generating Station escaped major structural damage in Monday’s explosion and fire.
Spokesperson Ted Gruetzner says it appears that damage is limited to the building’s siding and roof.
Gruetzner says there’s no firm date yet as to when the station might resume operation.
The cause of the fire and explosion has not been determined.
