NDP Leader Howard Hampton feels Ontario’s Auditor
General hit the nail on the head, when it comes to
underfunding the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The report states the innadequate funding is allowing
excessive hutning and fishing.
The Kenora Rainy River MPP adds the lack of money for
the MNR impacts not only fish and wildlife, but First
Nations and Forestry as well.

The report claims Moose and Black Bears were being
hunted in excessive numbers, and some Aboriginal fishers
exceeded their quotas by more than 200 percent.
