He’s travelled over 13,000 miles on horseback in Australia, the U.S. and in Canada and now he has arrived in Dryden.
Australian Joe Guy is in the area as part of his longrider trip.
Guy’s story is unique as he rides on problem horses that can’t be controlled and he promises to fix them within 7-days.
The horse he’s currently riding is an aggressive one from Manitoba and the owner will pick it up in Thunder Bay.
He stays with the horses literally 24-hours a day.
Guy ran away from his Sydney home at the age of 12 and he turned his life around at the age of 17.
At the age of 19 he decided to purchase two horses and a rifle and rode the outback of Australia.
It was after that he found his purpose of helping horses and keeping them away from the glue factory.
Guy is in the Dryden area the next couple of days and usually stays in someone’s barn or a park.
