Welcome back to Dryden!
City Police stopped a vehicle this morning (Thursday) for running a stop sign on King Street and Earl Avenue.
Police arrested 45-year-old John Whitsed of Chase, B.C. for driving under suspension.
Ironically the suspension was for an unpaid speeding ticket he received from Police when travelling through the City back in 2000.
That’s not it!
Officers searched the vehicle and found 120-grams of magic mushrooms and 6.5-pounds of marijuana worth an estimated 60-thousand dollars.
42-year-old Sherry Browett has also been charged in the incident.
Both remain in Police custody.
