B.C. transport driver charged with impaired driving near Ignace

A transport truck driver from British Columbia is facing impaired driving charges following an investigation by Ignace OPP.

Police say officers received a report of a suspected impaired driver and launched an investigation.

As a result, the driver was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 or more.

The OPP is reminding motorists that alcohol can impair judgement, reaction time and driving ability, and that drivers should never operate a personal or commercial vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
